Christine S. Zambricki, DNAP, CRNA, FAAN
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Zambricki is a senior health care executive with over 20 years of experience in strategic and tactical leadership for non-profit healthcare organizations. These include administrative posts in both the member trade association and the hospital industries. In addition, she brings extensive experience in the legislative and regulatory arenas at both the state and federal levels.
Dr. Zambricki received her doctorate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, her masters degree in anesthesia from Wayne State University and her bachelors degree in nursing from Michigan State University. She has a certificate in LEAN from the University of Michigan and in Health Services Management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Dr. Zambricki has received numerous awards in the healthcare and membership association industry and is widely published. A well-known speaker, she has presented papers both nationwide and internationally.
Louis M. Katz, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Katz is chief medical officer of
America's Blood Centers and formerly the executive vice president
of Medical Affairs of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center
in Davenport, Iowa. He is also a clinical infectious diseases
physician who has overseen a Ryan White Title 3 comprehensive AIDS
clinic, served as hospital epidemiologist for Genesis Medical
Center in Davenport, and medical director of the Scott County
(Iowa) Health Department.
His bibliography includes presentations, abstracts, and publications; they cover topics like the pathogenesis of Legionellosis, the implementation and utility of computerized blood donor screening, and the impact of Mississippi River flooding on the incidence of gastrointestinal illness.
He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, where he trained in internal medicine and infectious diseases, and he is board certified in both. Dr. Katz has served as the chair of the America's Blood Centers' Scientific, Medical, and Technical Committee; as a member and chair of the AABB Transfusion Transmitted Diseases Committee; and as a member and chair of the FDA Blood Products Advisory Committee.
Organizational memberships include the AABB, the American Society for Microbiology, the American Academy for the Advancement of Science, the International AIDS Society, and the International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care.
Chief Member Experience Officer
Abbey launched her career with America's Blood Centers (ABC) in 2007 and has since enjoyed many membership-focused roles throughout the organization. Since joining ABC, she has worked on fine-tuning and implementing programs to help increase member engagement, develop educational opportunities and improve the overall member experience. As Chief Member Experience Officer she provides strategic and operational oversight for ABC's membership initiatives, with a focus on fostering and developing member relations by working to create and maintain resources of value for the membership; communicate and market these resources to the appropriate constituents; listen and act on member needs; and ensure that all members and their staff have easy access to all things ABC. Abbey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in Public Relations from the University of Maryland.
