America's Blood Centers works with federal agencies, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and with other blood-related organizations to address blood safety issues and develop fair, science-based regulations and standards.

Commenting on federal regulations and testifying at meetings of the Blood Products Advisory Committee (BPAC), and Advisory Committee on Blood Safety and Availability (ACBSA), America's Blood Centers continues to advocate for policies that balance blood safety with the need to maintain an adequate blood supply.
